Now
the big old brick phones which we turn into
Brickia can no longer be used in this
country as the analogue mobile phone network was
switched off in 2001. However, for a short
time in the early 1990's Motorola did make
some digital brick phones. These phones
were never released in this country and
were made in fairly small numbers.
These
rare phones STILL WORK TODAY. We have secured them in strictly limited
quantities and can offer them to you at a
far less ludicrous price than the original
£1400. We cannot guarantee
supply indefinitely as these are very
sought after, but at the moment we have a
few, and you can have one too. There
are certain limitations with these
telephones which you should be aware of;
They have a much shorter battery life than
modern mobiles - even though the battery
itself is the size of Cheshire. Handsfree for the
car? Oh dear lord no. Back in the day you
would have been positively encouraged to
make phone calls whilst driving your
Porsche, waving your filofax in the air
and listening to Dire Straits. This was in
the days before they realised that accidents were
bad for you and that we need to make
something prohibited by law in this
country before people realise it is not
very clever.

So
there are a few features lacking with this
phone, but if it was gadgetry you were
after you wouldn't be on this page would
you? If you want bluetoothery, textual
intercourse, video-mp3-colour-screen-eyestrain then toddle off to the high
street and buy yourself something new and
shiny and whizzbang. If you prefer
something a little more old-skool-retro-kool
then this is the phone for you. Buy one
early in case everyone else grabs them all.
